IIRC, War Front had a more ambitious plot but they got tangled up in all sorts of troubles when it came to the Nazies. They originally wanted the Valkyrie Plot with Rommel directly involved but Rommel's descendants heavily protested against that. So did it happen with Rommel's involvement as a character. I don't know the specifics but probably all the characters who seem like historical figures but got very different names actually were intended to be actual historical people but the developers were told to not do it. That and the classical Digital Reality style production scuff when it comes to story. Once you know this, you can't unsee it for any game they create.It's like they got multiple writers competing against each other and there is no time to iron out the story into a more cohesive form.

Ну вот и вышел Homeworld 3... Если вторая часть вызывала вопросы, то третья вызывает их еще больше. Если в во второй части игры корабли лопались как мыльные пузыри, то в третьей это довели до маразма. Про сюжет даже говорить ничего не хочу. Ведь были же хорошие наработки. Хоть та же прокачка кораблей. Но пошли другим путем еще со второго Homeworld - мясо,мясо, мясо. Зерг-раш. Ветераны не важны. Кстати, по графике оригинальный Cataclysm даже больше нравился. Там не такие мыльные текстуры. И вот еще... Перед битвой с Бентуси можно собрать вполне мощный флот. Такой флот, который способен уничтожить один из их материнских носителей. Тогда разговор будет другой (если я всё правильно помню). Раза три игру проходил, но давно. Well, Homeworld 3 came out ... if the second part raised questions, then the third one raises them even more. If in the second part of the game the ships burst like soap bubbles, then in the third it was brought to insanity. I don't even want to say anything about the plot. After all, there were good developments. At least the same pumping of ships. But we went the other way from the second Homeworld - meat, meat, meat. Zerg rush. Veterans are not important. By the way, I liked the original Cataclysm even more according to the graphics. There are not such soapy textures. And here's another thing... Before the battle with Bentusi, you can assemble a quite powerful fleet. A fleet capable of destroying one of their mother carriers. Then the conversation will be different (if I remember everything correctly). I've played the game three times, but it's been a long time.
